We got to Salt Lake City and immediatley peaced out. California was so close and we just decided to keep on going till we got there. We made it to Sacramento early that morning and stayed and G’s family cabin near Lake Tahoe. It was so nice there! We played in the lake and the next day we headed to G’s house in Berkley. We set up a show in San Fran at an art gallery. It went well and then we headed to LA where we had two shows with Crush Club. Shows were good, then we headed to hot hot hot Phoenix. Whoa, was it hot. But we stayed with SWED… a clothing company and did a show that they set up for us. Sold lots of merch and then headed to Albuquerque (Matt’s hometown) for what ended up being the best show on the tour. Fayetville was next in order to fly G out to a super important meeting in NYC. And back to Nola we went… arrived in the heat and loving it… so glad to be back! Be sure to watch the 3 G-Eazy TV episodes by Tyler Yee… they expalin most of what we did. So, util my next adventure… peace.
After the D.C. show we headed to Fredrick, MD to do a house party. Whatever. Then came NYC where we had some parking issues with the huge trailer in the back. A large parking ticket was involved. Our sleeping quarters were a little close for comfort in Jake’s apartment. This coupled with jack hammers and NY heat made it especially interesting. There wasn’t a show there but we did promotions like nobody’s business. So after all that wonderfulness we headed to Providence for what turned out to be a great show. Chicago was next, good show, good promo, good time. Then to St. Louis to stay w/ Franco’s dad. My dad met us here to give us another van (the first couldn’t get inspected in time). This time it was a shuttle bus. Huge. Dad finally got there at 12 midnight and we left around 2am. Only an hour and a half into the drive… it broke down. We waited for AAA while dad was on his way to meet us at the car shop. (Sigh) Still haven’t slept mind you, so I pull out my sleeping bag and sleep in the lobby. We find out that the thing can’t be fixed for three days. So dad and Matt decided to just buy an expedition and trade in the van. SO… dad to the rescue and it has way more room than the Explorer. FINALLY we got on the road that night and made it to Colorado early the next morning. Denver gave us a good show and now we’re getting ready to head to Salt Lake for a pit stop before Sacramento. See ya.
Here’s what’s going… I’m on tour w/ Matt’s artist G-Eazy + crew. We kicked off the tour in New Orleans with a show at Peach’s Records and Le Bon Temps Roule. The next day we packed the trailer, picked up the band…The Megatronics: Patrick (bass), Adam (drums), Michael (guitar) and left for Tallahassee. The show @ the Engine Room didn’t go according to plan so we hit up a DIY house and played after 3 sludge metal bands! Whoa… They thoroughly enjoyed it though. Next was Tampa. We opened for a local hip-hop act and ended up getting a good reception. That night we got to stay at a ballin house with a bunch of tool-bag kids running around. They ended up pulling through. What was next? Oh yeah, Gainesville. We played at an electronica/trance house party which turned out to be worthwhile. They liked it and we were even lucky enough to see some girl kick another girl in the head. In Gainesville we were staying at a frat house so the next night we played for their frat. So on to Atlanta where I finally got to see Brittany and Garret (my friends from NOLA) after they moved there. We stayed with Brit and did bunches of promo in Little Five Points. It turned out to be really great b/c the area loved the album (Epidemic LP). Brit and Garrett had a party for us and we took the next day to rest and recover. Hmmm… next was… North Carolina to Matt’s aunt’s house. We stopped there so the drive to D.C. wouldn’t be so atrocious. K. We’re stopping to get gas now so I’ll post more later. Peace.
